Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain before start).
• Minimum six months experience in food service, preferably in a hotel/resort.
• Experience delivering high level guest service to guests of high social standing with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Professional with management staff and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Answer Room Service calls and take food and beverage orders from guests.
• Be knowledgeable about menu items, including preparation, ingredients and pricing.
• Maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude toward guests, other employees and management staff.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth delivery of orders.
• Record guest charges, gratuities and cash transactions in accordance with department policies.
• Follow all sanitation, health department guidelines and safety procedures.
