Taymax Group, LP, a multi-unit Planet Fitness franchisee, is seeking an Assistant Manager in Madison, AL. The role involves assisting in club operations to deliver a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone experience and supporting the Club Manager with staff leadership.

You will recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff, ensure top-notch customer service, manage payroll tasks, and help maintain a clean, safe facility. The position requires 18+, HS diploma, CPR, and a passion for health and fitness.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma/GED.
• One year of customer service experience preferable in gym/retail.
• CPR Certification required.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Strong supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Energetic, hard-working, with passion for health and fitness.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing staff.
• Maintain welcoming atmosphere and ensure superior customer service.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager; assist with payroll processing.
• Schedule and supervise shifts to ensure full coverage.
• Oversee front desk activities and greet members/guests.
• Answer phones and assist callers with inquiries.
• Check members in, log amenities, and communicate updates.
• Oversee club cleanliness and maintenance; report issues.
• Order supplies within budget; track weekly/monthly statistics.
• Support marketing efforts and promotions for staff awareness.
• Make daily bank deposits as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
