Job summary

Taymax Group, LP, a multi-unit Planet Fitness franchisee, is hiring an Assistant Manager at our Jacksonville (Lakewood) club. You will help oversee daily club operations, lead a motivated team, and ensure a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone for members.

The role supports staff scheduling, training, payroll processing, member check-in, and front desk duties. We value reliability, strong customer service, CPR certification, and a positive attitude; commute and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma/GED.
• One year of customer service experience in a gym or retail environment.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of club operations to ensure an exceptional member experience.
• Assist in staffing—recruiting, training and scheduling to cover all shifts.
• Greet members and guests, check in, answer phones and assist with member questions.
• Assist with payroll processing and back-up support for payroll as needed.
• Support front desk activities and daily club maintenance and safety.
