Seton Hall University invites applications for a Student Success Advisor in the Center for Academic Success in South Orange, NJ. The role focuses on guiding first-year students toward academic and personal goals and connecting them with campus resources.

Responsibilities include advising on course registration, monitoring progress through 30 credits, and supporting orientation events. The position also involves teaching CORE-1001 University Life and contributing to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• 2 years experience in educational setting.
• Teaching or tutoring experience in an education setting.
• Familiarity with EAB, Banner and Degree Works.

Responsibilities

• Advising students' course registration and monitoring academic progress throughout the first year (up to 30 credits).
• Attend New Student Orientations and assist with Open Houses and other initiatives.
• Instruct 3–4 sections of CORE-1001 University Life Course and contribute to curriculum development.
• Mentor and academically advise students throughout the first year.
• Be knowledgeable of FERPA, Title IX, campus policies and resources.
