Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Welder for the 1st shift in Harlan, IA. The role involves layout, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural frames and parts using MIG, TIG, and torch welding.

Strong blueprint reading and attention to quality are essential. Qualifications include 1-year certificate or equivalent, 2–5 years MIG/TIG experience, aluminum and stainless TIG experience, and a welding certification or technical degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate or 2-5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• 2-5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a fabrication environment
• Must have aluminum and stainless steel TIG welding experience
• Blueprint reading is a must
• Welding certification or technical degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and welds parts, using MIG/TIG/Torch welding equipment.
• Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
• Basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
• Uses acetylene/plasma arc equipment to cut metal parts to print specifications.
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Reading blueprints and ensuring welding requirements and quality.
• Maintains and sustains 5S within the department.
• Checks input accuracy to ensure final product meets customer specifications.
