Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Welder for 1st shift in Harlan, IA. The role involves reading blueprints, layout, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble frames, stands, reels, shafts, and related parts using MIG/TIG torches.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of MIG/TIG welding experience, aluminum and stainless TIG experience, and a strong focus on quality and 5S practices in a fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 2–5 years related experience
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• 2–5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a fabrication environment
• Aluminum and stainless steel TIG welding experience
• Welding certification or technical degree a plus
• Blueprint reading is a must

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using MIG/TIG/torch welding
• Reads blueprints and ensures welding requirements meet specifications
• Maintains 5S in the department
