Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Welder in Harlan, Iowa for 1st shift. The role involves reading blueprints, fabricating, and welding aluminum and stainless steel components using MIG/TIG processes to assemble frames, stands, reels, shafts, and related parts.

The candidate should have a 1-year certificate or 2–5 years of welding experience, along with blueprints reading skills and a commitment to quality. A degree or certification in welding is preferred and 5S experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate or 2–5 years of related experience.
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience with MIG and TIG welding in a fabrication environment.
• Must have aluminum and stainless steel TIG welding experience.
• Blueprint reading is a must.
• Welding certification or technical degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and welds parts using MIG/TIG/Torch welding equipment.
• Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
• Uses hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, wrenches).
• Reads prints and ensures welds meet specifications and quality standards.
• Maintains 5S in the department and supports process improvements.
• Communicates changes to other departments to ensure consistency.
