Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to bridge supervision and shop-floor teams, ensuring product quality and meeting production targets. The role involves hands-on direction, coordinating tasks, and onboarding new hires, with occasional duty coverage for supervisors.

The 1st shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with peak schedule variation. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year working in manufacturing.
• English is Required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, guide, and motivate staff to perform at their best.
• Demonstrate job instructions to new and temporary staff, adhering to departmental expectations when not performing these duties.
• Evaluate incoming orders and set up the production line accordingly.
• Collaborate and communicate within the department, extending communication to multiple departments within the organization.
• Foster an environment of positive morale and high-performance expectations.
• Regroup associates within assigned areas to maximize team members' strengths.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members.
• Identify and report/resolve production line problems promptly.
• Maintain a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment.
