Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Contract Logistics coordinator responsible for coordinating and supervising daily logistics activities to ensure smooth operations in your assigned area. You will work Monday to Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm and will be paid weekly at $30.00 per hour.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. You will report to a Manager and collaborate with Finance, Logistics Agents, and Customer Service to maintain accurate inventory, resolve discrepancies,

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Languages: English – ability to speak, read, write, and interpret documents.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
• Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
• Conduct analytical investigations to determine the root cause to properly disposition discrepancies.
• Create and work grief notifications for discrepancies through SAP and WARP workflows.
• Assist in providing cross-functional support to client Finance, Logistics Agents, Configuration Management, Customer Service, and Quality departments with inventory-related issues such as cycle counts, ad-hoc audits, pick exceptions, grief notifications, RTS, QC2 movements, and PNQs.
• Reconcile inventory-related issues such as SN changes, adjustments, batch issues, block stock, PO/MRA reversals, mismatches, stuck queues, and QuickBase claims.
• Resolve inventory-related issues for client depots and service centers, such as parts in transit, virtual MRAs, and depot critical issue reports.
• Update COMMIT and communicate with client Customer Service regarding AOGs and other urgent orders.
• Document root causes through KNPS and work with required groups to implement process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Conduct operations per OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Program policies and procedures.
