Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Switchboard Assembler for the first shift at the Sumter, SC facility. You will install components using hand and power tools, following drawings to assemble switchboards across Main Floor areas.

The role requires reading diagrams and blueprints, attention to detail, and teamwork to meet safety and productivity targets. Eligible for a variable incentive program and 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and legal work authorization in the United States.
• Experience with reading blueprints or diagrams is preferred.
• Experience with measuring devices such as tape measures or calipers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboards/panelboards using hand and power tools according to drawings/blueprints.
• Identify and locate components, ensuring accuracy and quality in line with procedures and safety standards.
• Communicate with team members to meet productivity, quality and safety goals.
• Be adaptable and cross-train for other roles on the floor when needed.
