Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Service Dispatcher for our Material Handling team. The role is full-time, first shift, Monday–Friday, and focuses on dispatching technicians to service requests and PMs while keeping customers informed.

You will record calls, manage work orders, assist with invoicing and time logs, and support field staff. A strong technical background, proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook and ERP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching, warranty administrative or mechanic experience is highly preferred.
• A strong technical knowledge base is desired to answer technician questions.
• Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous ERP experience is a plus.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of coworkers, as well as customers.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Technicians to handle service requests and PM.
• Take, record and prioritize customer calls for service requests.
• Compile and complete customer summary invoicing; organize and file department paperwork.
• Maintain Technician time log; invoicing & accounts receivables assistance.
• PM running & monitoring throughout the month; PM tracking reports.
