Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a dedicated Service Dispatcher in Kentwood, MI. This full-time role is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, focused on coordinating field technicians for service requests and preventive maintenance, prioritizing calls, and ensuring timely invoicing and orderly paperwork.

The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching, warranty administrative or mechanic experience is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge base to answer technician questions.
• Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. ERP experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to communicate with all levels of coworkers and customers.
• Intermediate language skills to read, interpret safety rules and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Technicians to handle service requests and PM.
• Take, record and prioritize customer calls for service requests.
• Compile and complete customer summary invoicing.
• Organize and file paperwork for the department.
• Answer internal and customer service calls.
• Weekly payroll time card entry.
• Open and close work orders and record story lines into orders.
• PM running and monitoring throughout the month.
• PM tracking reports and audit completed work for weekly meetings.
• PM scheduling for technicians.
• Direct technicians to closest skilled resource for field work.
• Monitor fleet service calls and assignments.
• Monitor Fleetmatics for on-time visits.
• Generate reports on PMs, overtime, and clocks.
• Assist technicians with finding technical data.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles daily.
