Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Production Supervisor for a Southeast KS facility to lead first-shift production, run the daily schedule, and uphold safety and quality standards on the floor.

You will guide the hourly crew, clear bottlenecks, coordinate with maintenance, quality, and procurement to keep the line moving, and drive continuous improvement to hit output and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical program preferred; equivalent floor experience considered.
• Prior production supervision or lead experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Able to read specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Track record of improving safety, quality, throughput, or cost on a production floor.
• Experience leading hourly crews and maintaining line standards.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Run first-shift production output against daily and weekly schedule and quality targets
• Establish and hold production and quality-control standards and cost controls
• Lead, direct, and develop the hourly production crew on the floor
• Enforce a safe, accident-free workplace and drive safety accountability
• Set and adjust production priorities as equipment, materials, or orders change
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and procurement to protect throughput
• Review production, quality, and operational reports and act on the root cause
• Support continuous improvement in labor, equipment, and facility utilization
