Job summary

ICP Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a Chemical Operator/Batchmaker to add raw materials to a mixer per batch instructions, following SOPs with safety and quality in mind. The role operates 6am–2:30pm with overtime and Saturdays during peak season.

Responsibilities include batching, weighing, sampling, blending ingredients, and maintaining equipment and the work area. Candidates should follow SOPs, maintain safety and quality standards, and collaborate with supervision and QC staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and abide by safety, quality, security, and operations policies/procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in batch work.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and monitor several processes simultaneously.
• Experience reading and applying SOPs is advantageous.
• Experience with chemicals or light chemical manufacturing is preferred.
• Basic math skills applied in a manufacturing setting.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and directions.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily scheduled activities as directed by supervisor.
• Handle chemicals safely and in accordance with SOPs.
• Batch, weigh, and sample materials.
• Blend and weigh ingredients to SOP specifications.
• Adhere to safety rules, policies, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Report problems promptly to supervisor.
• Ensure batch records and inventory movements are logged accurately.
