Job summary

Custom Building Products in Bell, CA is seeking a Batch Operator to join our manufacturing team and be the first step in the quality process. You will blend chemicals, prepare equipment, and process raw materials to produce high-quality finished products on a 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) with overtime as needed.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced facility. You will work with Production and Maintenance teams, earn a shift premium of $1.50 per hour, and have

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading and following production formulas and instructions.
• Experience operating automated mixing equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear respirator and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and production instructions precisely, including ingredient sequencing and raw material codes, to ensure consistent product quality
• Weigh, measure, and manually load ingredients into mixers according to specifications; take samples, coordinate with Quality Control, and make adjustments as needed
• Operate mixing and blending equipment for cement, grout, mastic, and cleaning products; monitor automated systems when required
• Maintain accurate production records, including batch logs, maintenance reports, calibration records, and shift handoff documentation
• Assist with packaging and material handling as needed to support production flow
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements, actively participating in safety training and reporting or correcting unsafe conditions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
