Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Furnace Melt Operator for a 1st shift in Cedarburg, WI. The role involves operating and maintaining high-temperature melting furnaces, charging ingots and scrap, skimming, sampling, and ensuring alloy quality for high-pressure aluminum die-casting cells.

The position offers a stable daytime schedule (6:00 AM–2:15 PM), direct-hire employment, and competitive hourly pay up to $31.00 with bonus opportunities, 401(k) matching, and full health/dental benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of tenure at each previous employer.
Foundry or heavy manufacturing melt/furnace experience.
Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI.
High School Diploma or GED; US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Operate & Charge Furnaces: set up, load, and operate industrial melting furnaces with raw ingot, sows, and internal scrap.
Tap & Skim Molten Metal: tap furnaces and skim impurities while maintaining temperature and cleanliness.
Pull Samples for Quality Analysis: collect samples and submit to metallurgy lab for analysis.
Perform Basic Furnace Maintenance: clean furnaces and related equipment, perform basic troubleshooting.
Operate Material Handling Equipment: safely use forklifts and overhead hoists to move materials.
Track Production & Documentation: record material quantities and attendance on logs and reports.
Enforce Safety & 5S Standards: follow OSHA rules, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and 5S.
