Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in South Bend, IN seeks an Enrollment Specialist to guide newly admitted students from application through the start of their first semester. You will coach students through enrollment steps, assist with course registration, and connect them with campus resources to promote first-semester success; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

Associate degree required.
Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
Strong administrative and computer skills.
Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment in applying college policies.
Flexibility to attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Coach newly admitted students through enrollment steps and prepare them for the first weeks of classes.
Manage a caseload to promote retention, persistence, and student success.
Maintain up-to-date case notes in electronic student record systems.
Assist with assessment processes and refer students to appropriate resources.
Advise on degree programs, prerequisites, and course scheduling; assist with registration and financial aid guidance.
