Vance Thompson Vision in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a First Impressions – Atrium Concierge to warmly welcome patients, register them, and support daily operations in a high-touch environment.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, clear communication, and teamwork to ensure a smooth patient experience and accurate data entry for insurance and payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and registering patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
• Communicating with internal departments regarding patient needs.
• Handling difficult or escalated patient concerns and providing positive solutions.
• Participating in the patient-informed consent process.
• Ensuring the atrium area is clean and visually appealing to patients, and that food items are fully stocked and available at all times.
• Collecting and entering patient’s insurance information into the database.
• Verifying patient insurance information and demographics.
• Collecting payments for drops, surgeries and/or account balances.
• Exceeding our patient’s expectations through active listening, effective communication, and empathy.
