Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision is seeking a First Impressions – Atrium Concierge at our Cedar Rapids clinic. You will greet and register patients, coordinate with internal departments, and help maintain a welcoming atrium environment.

You bring strong customer service and communication skills, with a high school diploma optional, and a team-driven attitude. This on-site role includes benefits and opportunities to grow with our patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service experience is helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients promptly and pleasantly.
• Coordinate with internal departments to address patient needs.
• Handle difficult patient concerns with positive solutions.
• Assist in patient-informed consent process.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming atrium and keep items stocked.
• Collect and verify patient insurance information and demographics.
• Process payments for drops, surgeries, and balances.

• Participating in the patient-informed consent process.
• Ensuring the atrium area is clean and visually appealing to patients, and that food items are fully stocked and available at all times.
• Collecting and entering patient’s insurance information into the database.
• Verifying patient insurance information and demographics.
• Collecting payments for drops, surgeries and/or account balances.
• Exceeding our patient’s expectations through active listening, effective communication, and empathy.

You Have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience helpful
