Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision is seeking a First Impressions - Phone Concierge to join our Sioux Falls team. In this role you will manage high volumes of incoming calls, schedule patient visits across multiple locations, and collect demographic and insurance information with care and accuracy.

You will need strong customer service and communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask while adhering to clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage high call volume.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of incoming calls and route messages.
• Schedule patient visits across multiple locations.
• Collect demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information.
• Provide patient education and explain preparation for scheduled procedures.
• Direct callers to the appropriate department as needed.

You Will Make an Impact By

• Handling a high volume of incoming calls, initiating outgoing calls and taking messages.
• Scheduling patient visits and evaluations for multiple locations across our footprint, while adhering to clinical protocols.
• Multitasking between several different technology systems to complete day-to-day work.
• Collecting and entering all necessary demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information from patients or responsible parties.
• Responding to questions and concerns of callers and directs them to appropriate location or department as needed.
• Assembling patient packets and mailing information to patients.
• Providing patient education by explaining preparation and patient instructions for the scheduled procedure.
• Exceeding our patients’ expectations with active listening, effective communication, and empathy.

You Have

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience
