Job summary

BY Recruiting in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to own recruiting from day one as the company scales from ~40 to 90+ employees. You will lead hiring for customer-facing and technical roles, including AI-enabled sourcing, and help build the talent function from the ground up.

You will report to the leadership team, manage a junior recruiter, and allocate ~10% of your time to people operations such as immigration, payroll, and HRIS tasks.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience as a technical recruiter or talent acquisition manager.
• At least 2 years of in-house recruiting experience.
• Experience hiring customer-facing and technical roles at a fast-growing startup.
• Comfort with AI-enabled sourcing and a bias toward ownership and speed.

Responsibilities

• Own hiring from first contact to signed offer for every open role.
• Partner with hiring managers to build a scorecard for each new role, coordinate interview loops, and run reference checks.
• Source and reach out to strong people who aren’t actively job hunting using AI sourcing tools such as Juicebox.
• Manage external recruiting partners and executive search firms, and hold them to our bar.
• Manage a junior recruiter as the team grows; spend about 10% of time on people ops (immigration, payroll, HRIS).
