Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Firmware Test Engineer II to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and testing teams, supporting test management across the firmware verification lifecycle.

Translate requirements into clear, testable solutions; design and maintain test cases for firmware features; develop Python automation; configure tests with HIL systems; document results and contribute to reusable assets in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review firmware, hardware, and system requirements for clarity and testability.
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, risks, and traceability issues.
• Design and maintain test cases for firmware features with supervision.
• Develop Python-based automated test scripts.
• Configure and execute tests using HIL systems and lab equipment.
• Analyze test failures and isolate issues to firmware, hardware, or test setup.
• Document test results, evidence, and defects clearly.
• Collaborate in Agile projects and participate in technical reviews.
• Contribute to reusable test assets and automation frameworks.
