Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin is seeking a Firmware Test Engineer II to join our fast-growing engineering team. You will translate requirements into testable cases, design and maintain tests for firmware, hardware, and systems, and support HIL test development.

With 2+ years in verification and validation, embedded systems or PCBA design, you will automate tests in Python, work with tools like JAMA, Azure DevOps, Jira, Polarion, and participate in Agile projects to deliver reliable products.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of verification and validation testing, embedded systems and/or PCBA design.
• Experience with requirements management and defect tracking tools.
• Ability to read schematics and interact with firmware/hardware.
• Proficiency in Python for automation.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into testable, traceable verification solutions.
• Design and maintain test cases for firmware, hardware, and subsystems.
• Support HIL test development and identify interfaces.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automated test scripts.
• Configure and execute tests with lab equipment and HIL systems.
• Document results with clear evidence and defects.
• Collaborate in Agile projects and participate in technical reviews.
