Job summary

TRL Systems, Inc. in Burbank, CA is hiring a Fire TI Technician to install commercial fire life safety systems, support tenant improvements and retrofit projects under supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years construction or low voltage installation experience (2+ years preferred).
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on construction sites, including ladders and confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, or rotating shifts as needed.

Description

The Fire TI (Tenant Improvement) Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial fire life safety systems, supporting tenant improvement and retrofit projects under the direction of a Lead Technician or Foreman. This hands‑on role includes demolition, rough‑in work, wire pulling, device installation, and basic construction tasks while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, construction requirements, and industry standards. The technician interprets project drawings, utilizes hand and power tools, maintains a safe and organized job site, tracks work through company systems, and collaborates with customers, contractors, and project leadership to deliver high‑quality fire alarm installations on schedule.

Requirements
  • 0–2 years of construction or low voltage installation experience (2+ years preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on construction sites, including ladders and confined spaces
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, or rotating shifts as needed
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
