TRL Systems in California is seeking a Fire TI Lead Technician to oversee onsite installation of commercial fire life safety systems. You will direct a crew through demolition, rough-in, wire pulling, device installation, testing, and project closeout.
This hands-on leadership role requires reading construction drawings, troubleshooting low voltage networks, and maintaining safety and quality on busy job sites. Certification and programming experience preferred.
The Fire TI Lead Technician is responsible for leading the onsite installation of commercial fire life safety systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, electrical codes, and industry regulations. This hands‑on leadership role oversees a crew performing fire alarm installations, including demolition, rough‑in work, wire pulling, device installation, troubleshooting, testing, and project closeout.
The Lead Technician serves as the primary onsite contact for customers, communicates daily with project management, maintains accurate project documentation, and ensures materials, equipment, and resources are prepared for successful execution. This position requires the ability to interpret construction drawings, troubleshoot fire alarm systems and networks, mentor technicians, and deliver high‑quality installations while maintaining exceptional customer service and adherence to safety standards. Fire alarm programming experience and manufacturer certifications are preferred.
