Job summary

Johnson Controls in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced field service technician to service Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites. You'll read blueprints, perform installations, and troubleshoot a range of building safety products.

This role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, an extinguisher license, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems
• Extinguisher License
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Outstanding Customer facing service and problem-solving skills
• PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems
• Use of Smart Phone and Equipment
