Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret manuals, and manage daily service calls while ensuring safety and compliance.

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience, strong communication, and solid problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook is required, and manufacturer certifications

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in field service or related roles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Manage daily service calls and customer activity.
• Assist with inspections and on-site troubleshooting; participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
