Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy efficiency, seeks a Service Technician to perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals, while managing daily service calls and customer activity.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirement.
