Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and manage daily service activity while coordinating with various manufacturers.

Responsibilities include on-site troubleshooting, customer interactions, and completing inspections per contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install multiple manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service calls, customer activity and program system products.
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
• Assist customers with questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems; use smartphone and equipment.
