Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to service portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and install various systems across different manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL.

Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting, coordinating service calls, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent customer service and readiness for emergency on-call

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Manufacturer certifications (e.g., ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Perform inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
