The Suppression Technician role focuses on servicing portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites, with field installation, troubleshooting, and inspections across diverse environments. You will interpret blueprints and manuals, read diagrams, and coordinate daily service calls while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• FEL-A license required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, or installing fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot, and install equipment from multiple manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service calls, customer activity, and program system products.
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
• Perform inspections of suppression gas systems per contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems and use smartphone-based tools and field equipment to complete assigned work.
• Assist customers with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service support.
