Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site field service technician to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. The role involves troubleshooting across multiple manufacturers, interpreting blueprints and manuals, and managing daily service activity.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Any manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem.
• Valid US drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
