Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled technicians to service fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret specs, and install systems from various manufacturers, while managing daily service calls and customer activity.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with Windows-based tools. On-call rotation and a competitive benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Manage daily service calls, customer activity and program system products.
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
