Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Texas seeks a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and detection/control equipment. You will follow NFPA codes and maintain accurate work orders using Field Service Lightning.

Must have 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience and 2 years of professional computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and be prepared to travel up to 90% of the time. Ongoing safety training is provided.

Qualifications

• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and/or repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and detection & control systems.
• Repair or replace damaged components of suppression systems and detectors.
• Troubleshoot defective components and diagnose issues.
• Ensure documentation on work orders and use Field Service Lightning for tracking.
• Maintain safety policies and participate in toolbox talks.
