Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems and Detection & Control systems with minimal supervision.

The role requires strong knowledge of NFPA codes, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel up to 90% of the time. Candidates should have 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience and at least 2 years of professional computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State certification preferred.
• 2 Fire Life Safety industry experience.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems, and Detection & Control systems.
• Use required tools and test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Troubleshoot and identify defective components in suppression systems.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams professionally.
• Document work orders and use Field Service Lightning for tracking.
