Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician in Lufkin, TX, to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and Detection & Control systems with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include using tools and test equipment, troubleshooting components, documenting work orders, and adhering to safety programs. Requires high school diploma, state cert preferred, and 90% travel. Summit provides extensive training and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Use required tools and test equipment to repair or replace fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems, and Detection & Control systems components.
• Troubleshoot and identify defective components of pre-engineered suppression systems.
• Repair or replace damaged components of suppression systems and/or Detection & Control systems.
