Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and Detection & Control systems with minimal supervision. The role requires adherence to NFPA codes and safety programs.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a related certification preferred, and at least 2 years in fire life safety.

Qualifications

• 2 fire life safety industry experience specifically within fire suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems, and Detection & Control components.
• Troubleshoot defective components in pre-engineered suppression systems.
• Use required tools and test equipment to repair or replace system components.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and internal staff.
• Follow safety programs, SDS, Hazardous communications, and toolbox talks.
• Travel as required and document on work orders.
