Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and related detection and control equipment with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years in the Fire Life Safety industry, 2 years of professional computer skills, and a strong knowledge of NFPA codes. Must travel up to 90% and maintain a company vehicle, following safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• State or any required certification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Fire Life Safety experience in Fire Suppression.
• At least 2 years of professional computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems, and Detection & Control components.
• Repair or replace damaged components of suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify defective components.
• Communicate with customers professionally.
• Complete documentation on work orders.
• Travel 90% of the time and maintain the company vehicle.
• Use Field Service Lightning to track work orders and materials.
• Attend safety trainings and follow safety policies.
