Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician V to respond to service calls, diagnose systems, and perform field service on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

You will read blueprints and manuals, maintain safety, travel as needed, and deliver high-quality repairs while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler service industry performing service and repair.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Ability to maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
• Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform physical labor up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Ability to work alone when needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and review reported malfunction.
• Contact customer representative, assess issue, and determine next steps.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
• Work on wet systems, including steel, copper, and CPVC, and on dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump systems.
• Use manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modifications to support diagnosis and repair.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining organization and safety.
• Work independently and maintain a professional field presence.
