The Licensed NFPA Fire Sprinkler & Suppression Inspector/Technician is a skilled journey-level position responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and code compliance of fire protection systems across Louisiana State University's Baton Rouge campus. This position performs inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump, and special hazard suppression systems in accordance with applicable NFPA standards, state and local codes, and university policies. The technician supports the University’s life safety program by identifying deficiencies, documenting inspection results, coordinating corrective actions, and responding to emergency service requests to maintain operational readiness and protect students, faculty, staff, visitors, and university assets.
