The Maintenance Repairer Master plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems by performing routine preventive maintenance tasks such as changing filters and belts, cleaning coils, greasing bearings, and clearing condensate lines. This position involves conducting inspections, making necessary repairs, and keeping accurate service records. It is classified as a Journeyman role within the HVAC department and requires fundamental skills in HVAC maintenance and preventive care.
This position requires a valid driver’s license, will require an MVR, and is subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04. This position is classified as a safety and security-sensitive position. These positions are subject to drug screens per PS-67/FASOP HR-04. This position is considered emergency essential and may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18. This position will require a physical evaluation based on the physical demands required.
One year of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience: Three years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus one year of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses plus one year of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance.
