Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced field inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and installation of life safety systems in a dynamic industrial environment. The role requires reading blueprints, working with low voltage wiring, and completing documented service acknowledgements with laptop access.

Candidates should have NICET II or state license, the ability to travel, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II or state license required.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge and foam systems.
• Must possess valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventive maintenance of life safety product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and archive documentation.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes under supervision.
• Complete inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
