Job summary

Johnson Controls in Horsham, PA is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines. The role requires physical work and the ability to carry equipment.

You will document deficiencies, follow a structured inspection schedule, and assist foreman with installation of sprinkler systems. Flexible hours including on-call rotation; candidates must meet codes and be able to read

Qualifications

3+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems
Able to obtain licenses as required by codes
Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
Capable of physical labor including carrying/moving 50-70 lbs
Able to work in ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
Flexible hours including on-call, nights and weekends
Demonstrate strong customer service
Adhere to safety guidelines at all times
Strong organizational skills and positive attitude

Responsibilities

Inspect and service sprinkler systems and related life-safety product lines
Accurately document deficiencies found during inspections
Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via devices or paper
Maintain a structured inspection schedule
Perform minor repairs and programming changes on systems
Complete inspections on time
Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs
Assist foreman with installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems
Work in various positions including ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
