Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Sprinkler Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on life safety systems in field settings. You will document findings and ensure systems remain compliant and ready to perform when needed.

Role requires NICET II, ability to obtain licenses, physical work including lifting up to 70 lbs, and travel as needed. On-site position with safety as a priority and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• NICET II certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain licenses as required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals.
• Experience using hand tools and a multimeter.
• Capable of physical labor, lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled inspections, testing, service, and maintenance.
• Inspect wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Identify, document, and report deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and complete inspections on time.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes as needed.
• Assist the foreman in installing sprinkler systems.
• Perform other duties as directed.
