Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our onsite team. You will test and document fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards, ensuring quality inspections and timely maintenance.

The role includes routine schedule adherence, documentation via devices, and a strong safety focus, with opportunities to grow through training and cross-learning. The position requires 3–5 years of sprinkler experience, blueprints interpretation, and the ability to work at

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of sprinkler system experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Ability to interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 50-70 pounds.
• Must be able to work on lifts and ladders.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and suitable driving record.
• Must be available for after-hours on-call rotation.
• Must pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on water-based or sprinkler systems.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copy.
• Maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
