Responsibilities

This role involves troubleshooting and repairing installed fire protection and security systems, including panel repair/reprogramming, device replacement, and system testing. You will organize technical resources, communicate effectively, and program fire alarm, security, and access control panels. Documentation of activities and adherence to safety guidelines are essential. Certifications like CCNA, A+, and Network+ are a plus. On-call and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound, and communications systems (preferred)
• Ability to interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Good computer skills
• Ability to follow instructions and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 70 lbs and working in challenging positions
• Flexible working hours, including weekends and possibly overnight travel
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Licenses as per local codes

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training
• NICET Level II or ability to obtain within the first year
