FIRE PROTECTION SALES/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

State Systems, Inc., the leading fire protection company in the Mid-South, is growing and seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team! This is a great opportunity for those passionate about providing excellent service and engaging with new people. The role involves working with your hands and suits mechanically minded individuals.

This position is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of fire protection systems within commercial facilities. Responsibilities include sales, installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems.

Compensation: Potential first-year earnings range from $45,000 to $60,000, with top performers earning more.

Job Duties:
  1. Sell services and products within your territory, maintaining sales/service quotas.
  2. Inspect, service, and install fire extinguishers, suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
  3. Identify prospects using creative lead generation techniques.
  4. Present sales proposals highlighting the benefits of our products over competitors.
  5. Follow up with prospects and process work orders and paperwork according to standard procedures.
  6. Service existing clients and develop new customer relationships.
Core Competencies:
  • Proficient in Windows-based software and MS Office 2000 or higher.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and time management.
  • Flexible, action-oriented, and customer-focused with entrepreneurial drive.
Physical Requirements & Exposures:
  • Good physical condition, able to lift at least 75 pounds and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Able to push and pull over 100 pounds as needed.
  • Capable of safely climbing ladders and reaching heights of at least 12 feet.
  • Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must not be sensitive to chemicals or respiratory irritants encountered during work.

All candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
