Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to support field service at customer sites nationwide. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot systems, and install equipment to NFPA standards while working independently on projects.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to travel up to 20–30%, and participation in a one-week, in-person technician orientation in Lowell, Arkansas. A company vehicle is provided after orientation.

Qualifications

• Field installation experience in security environments including Fire Alarm, Intrusion, and Access Control.
• NICET certification is preferred.
• Current/valid state required Physical Security license and/or Life Safety license in the applicable technology.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
• Read blueprints and site maps; work with multiple manufacturers.
• Perform new installs and provide on-site and remote escalation support.
• Ensure all work complies with codes and regulations; test systems for operation.
