Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician for work at various retail locations across the United States. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing cabling and security systems, reading blueprints, and supporting pre-installation design efforts.

Travel up to 20–30% and mandatory orientation in Lowell, Arkansas are part of the plan. The position offers day hours with some night shifts, competitive hourly pay, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Field installation experience in Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Valid state physical security or life safety license.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work at heights 20 ft–60 ft.
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP video, access control, intrusion alarm, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit bending work.
• Complete wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring full system functionality and contractual compliance.
• Install or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels per plans and layouts.
• Mount sensors and access locations such as crawl spaces or attics.
• Test newly installed systems to ensure operational status and compliance with codes.
