Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Security Operations Manager to oversee the Alarm Service Department and keep abreast of technology developments. You will lead field teams, maintain budgets, and ensure quality compliance while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
• 5 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification required.
• Fire Alarm Systems Agent (FASA) Certification required.
• 5 years of professional computer skills.
• 1+ years Supervisory experience within Fire Alarm.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Alarm Service Department field personnel to build a first-class service team.
• Complete all open work orders within 30 days of creation.
• Schedule field activities and coordinate with customers.
• Review employee time sheets to meet payroll deadlines.
• Assist Service Sales in pricing service work per pricing structure.
• Ensure timely responses to emergencies (24 hours).
• Purchase or rent equipment for each job and need.
• Visit job sites and communicate between customer and field teams.
• Communicate with internal and external customers professionally.
• Coordinate discipline with Service and District Manager as needed.
• Enter documentation in personnel files with proper records.
• Ensure company vehicles and tools are maintained per policy.
• Quarterly tool inventory and reporting of lost/stolen tools.
• Ensure field employees are trained per policy and licenses current.
• Follow SFS Safety program, SDS, Hazardous communications and site policies.
• Other duties may be assigned.
